365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad,30th December,2024: PURE EV, one of India’s top electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has reached a key sustainability milestone with the successful integration of a 500 KWh Energy Storage Solution (ESS) and a 125 KW solar system at its Telangana facility.
This innovative combination, along with DG and grid systems, has led to impressive savings, including a 60% reduction in power bills and a 65% decrease in DG fuel costs compared to FY 23.
The solar installation has enabled the company to harness renewable energy, reducing reliance on grid electricity and significantly lowering operational costs. Additionally, the integration of the 500 KWh ESS with solar, grid, and DG systems has resulted in a 50% reduction in peak load KVA charges, boosting overall operational efficiency.
The entire 500 KWh ESS capacity is composed of refurbished batteries sourced from customers who exchanged their older batteries for the latest 5th-generation high-performance models. This initiative underscores PURE EV’s dedication to environmental sustainability and its commitment to promoting a circular economy in EV batteries.
“We are proud that our efforts align with our core philosophy of Power Using Renewable Energy (PURE), which not only helps us reduce our environmental impact but also brings significant energy cost savings,” said Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder and Managing Director of PURE EV.
“By integrating solar energy with advanced energy storage technology, we are making strides toward a more sustainable future. This approach not only reduces our dependence on non-renewable resources but also improves operational efficiency, benefiting both the environment and our bottom line.
As we continue to innovate and incorporate green technologies, we are reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and working toward a cleaner, more energy-efficient future.”
Looking ahead, PURE EV plans to expand its renewable energy initiatives over the next two years. The company intends to add another 125 KW solar system and 500 KWh ESS, further accelerating its journey toward net-zero carbon emissions at its plant and offices by 2026.
