On the other hand, Nifty is trading at 16,961.65 points with a decline of 138.40 points. The Sensex fell 0.80% in early trade on Monday, while the Nifty weakened by 0.75%.

At this time, TCS shares fell by 3 percent and Infosys shares fell by 2 percent. The rupee gained 10 paise to trade at Rs 82.49 against the dollar in the opening trading session.

Shares of IT, banking and metal sectors fell. On the first trading day of the week, IT, banking and metal sectors accounted for the all-round sell-off in the stock market. Earlier, on Friday, the market ended with gains for the second day in a row.

This is the reason for the fall of Adani Group shares.

In Mundra, Gujarat, Rs. Shares of Adani Group companies including Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy and Ambuja Cements declined in Monday’s trading session after work on a Rs 34,900-crore petrochemical project was halted.

There are also reports that the group is looking to refinance overseas listed bonds worth $1.15 billion in two group companies, Adani Green Energy and Adani Ports, SEZ, through a private placement.
