This year’s event achieved a historic milestone by setting a world record for the third consecutive year for “Most Kids Participating in a Badminton Championship in Multiple Cities.” This remarkable achievement was certified by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA), highlighting the championship’s significance in the realm of junior badminton.
The closing ceremony featured notable figures, including Asian Games Gold Medallists and JBC mentors Chirag Shetty and Satwik Rankireddy, along with Chief Guest Venkat Changavalli, CEO of the Insurance Information Bureau of India, Sameer Bansal, CEO & MD of PNB MetLife, and Sourabh Lohtia, CMCO of PNB MetLife. They awarded the prestigious JBC trophy to the outstanding young athletes, recognizing their remarkable accomplishments. The event also included a special mentoring session with Chirag and Satwik, where they shared invaluable insights with young players and their parents on enhancing gameplay, balancing academics with sports, managing stress, and building mental resilience.

Since its inception in 2015, PNB MetLife’s JBC has evolved into one of the nation’s largest annual open platforms for aspiring badminton players. Over the eight editions, the championship has engaged more than 56,000 participants in over 46,000 matches. Each year, thousands of young athletes eagerly await this event, demonstrating their enthusiasm and commitment to the sport.
